Financial Controller | HK listed co & IPO experience

We are currently supporting a major HK‑listed group to hire a Financial Controller to lead a spin‑off IPO for a fast‑growing business. Looking for leaders with pre‑IPO, large‑cap, and China experience.

About the Role

We are hiring a Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a rapidly expanding business unit within a major Hong Kong–listed group. This role will oversee daily finance operations and serve as the project lead for an upcoming spin‑off IPO on HKEX.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full spin‑off IPO process, including coordination with banks, auditors, lawyers, and professional parties.
• Oversee preparation of financial track records, prospectus sections, regulatory submissions, and IPO due diligence.
• Manage BAU finance & accounting: month‑end close, statutory reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Strengthen reporting quality and ensure compliance with HKFRS/IFRS, HKEX rules, and group policies.
• Oversee finance operations for PRC entities, ensuring compliance with China GAAP, tax rules, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner closely with senior leadership to support business performance, financial planning, and strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance; HKICPA / CFA / CPA qualification required.
• 10+ years of relevant finance experience, with strong exposure in large‑cap listed companies.
• Proven pre‑IPO / spin‑off IPO experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Mainland China operations and cross‑border finance governance.
• Solid technical grounding in HKFRS/IFRS, consolidation, and listed reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
