We are working with a dynamic business undergoing a strategic transition to hire a Fractional FD/CFO based in Hong Kong. This part-time leadership role (1–3 days per week) offers the opportunity to shape financial strategy, strengthen governance, and support a potential M&A transaction. The ideal candidate will be a commercially sharp finance leader with strong FP&A capabilities, cross-border experience, and financial modelling.

About the Role
We are seeking a commercially astute Fractional Finance Director / CFO to provide strategic financial leadership during a pivotal phase of business transformation. Based in Hong Kong, this role will support financial efficiency, governance, and a potential sale of the company's stake on an ongoing project in HK. From February 2026, the role will also include occasional remote support to the UK operation.

This is a high-impact, part-time opportunity for a finance leader who can operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, with strong FP&A capabilities and transaction experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Finance Leadership: Guide financial strategy, scenario modelling, and investment decisions.
• M&A Support: Advise on valuation, deal structure, and capital strategy in collaboration with external advisors.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure robust financial control, statutory compliance, and risk management.
• Operational Finance: Strengthen reporting systems, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management.
• Team Leadership: Mentor finance team members and foster a culture of accountability and improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with shareholders, auditors, advisors, and banking partners.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a CFO / Finance Director with strong FP&A and commercial acumen.
• Direct involvement in M&A or divestiture processes, ideally with cross-border exposure.
• Background in private equity, corporate finance, or growth-stage businesses.
• Experience working in or with Asia-based operations.
• Professionally qualified accountant (HKICPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• High integrity, emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and results-driven.
