What you'll do:
As Senior Accounting Manager and Company Secretary, you will play an integral part in shaping the financial integrity and governance framework of the organisation.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of announcements, circulars, and disclosures in strict accordance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Manage connected transactions diligently to ensure full adherence to Listing Rules and maintain transparent stakeholder communications.
- Lead the monthly and quarterly consolidation processes for HKEX reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory obligations.
- Prepare interim and annual reports, including drafting detailed notes to financial statements that meet the highest standards of clarity and completeness.
- Coordinate audit activities efficiently by liaising with external auditors and ensuring all documentation aligns with HKFRS/IFRS standards.
- Strengthen financial controls throughout the group by reviewing intercompany reconciliations and overseeing group treasury operations for optimal efficiency.
- Organise board and committee meetings by preparing comprehensive agendas, accurate minutes, and well-documented resolutions to support effective governance.
- Handle statutory filings such as annual returns and changes in directors or shareholdings with meticulous attention to detail.
- Advise directors on Corporate Governance Code requirements as well as ESG reporting obligations to promote best practices within the organisation.
- Lead, mentor, and guide a sizable team by fostering collaboration, providing clear direction, and nurturing talent development aligned with organisational objectives.
What you bring:
To excel as Senior Accounting Manager and Company Secretary, you will bring an impressive blend of technical proficiency in accounting standards alongside deep familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing listed entities.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline is required to underpin your technical expertise.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, HKICPA or HKCGI are mandatory for this senior appointment.
- At least 12 years of experience in auditing combined with substantial in-house finance or accounting roles within Hong Kong Main Board listed companies is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Hong Kong accounting standards (HKFRS) as well as tax regulations is necessary for effective performance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams effectively through strong interpersonal skills that foster collaboration and mutual respect.
- Exceptional communication abilities in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese are required for seamless interaction across diverse stakeholders.
