Finance Department Head | engineering manufacturing

One of the leading MNC engineering business with manufacturing operations is looking for a Finance Department Head to handle their HK&PRC operations.

About the Company

Our client is a leading multinational company (MNC) in the engineering & manufacturing industry with a strong global presence. They are currently seeking a Head of Finance to join their leadership team and drive financial excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Act as a strategic finance business partner to the CEO, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize profitability, efficiency, and cost control.

2. Financial & Accounting Operations

• Lead the full spectrum of Finance & Accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
• Oversee cash flow management, treasury, and working capital optimization.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and corporate governance requirements.

3. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance business performance.

4. Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Functionally report to the Group CFO, ensuring alignment with global finance policies and reporting requirements.
• Work closely with regional and global finance teams to drive financial initiatives.
• Partner with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent preferred).
• 10+ years of finance leadership experience within an MNC, preferably in the manufacturing sector, with solid exposure in HK and China regions.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, reporting, and compliance.
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders and provide strategic financial guidance.
• Experience in leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local tax regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese
