Looking for a new Finance Director for my client to be in their HK finance team. The successor plays a crucial role, in which ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic growth. Targeting experienced professionals with global financial expertise and leadership skills. Moreover, other than overseeing financial management, the incumbent will need to have experience on ensuring company's operational efficiency too.

The Finance Director will need to facilitate the below:

  1. Financial Strategy & Management
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all departments.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial risks, and cost-control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports.

  1. Accounting & Compliance
  • Oversee accounting functions, including financial reporting, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory standards.
  • Manage external audits, tax filings, and risk assessments.
  • Implement strong internal controls to protect company assets and financial integrity.
  1. Supply Chain Planning
  • Standardize best practices across different business units.
  • Optimize end-to-end supply chain processes (procurement, production, logistics, and distribution).

  1. Logistics & Distribution Management
  • Oversee transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Optimize global and regional distribution networks.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve lead times.

  1. Inventory & Demand Planning
  • Develop demand forecasting models to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Implement inventory control systems and digital tools for real-time tracking.

  1. Process Optimization & Technology Integration
  • Drive digital transformation, including ERP and supply chain management software implementation.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the supply chain.
  • Utilize data analytics for better decision-making.

  1. Risk Management & Compliance
  • Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Implement sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.

  1. Cross-functional Leadership & Collaboration
  • Work closely with finance, operations, sales, and manufacturing teams.
  • Align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team.

  1. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead and develop the finance and operations teams, ensuring high performance.

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• CPA qualification is a MUST.
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in financial accounting, supply chain management, and operations, with at least 6 years in a finance leadership role.
• Solid understanding and experience on GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting regulations.
• Experience involving ERP systems and digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
• Strong expertise in logistics, supply chain optimization, and inventory planning.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
