Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and drive business growth.
- Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators, identifying risks and opportunities.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors and regulatory authorities.
Project Accounting and Management:
- Utilize your strong knowledge of project accounting principles to oversee financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and revenue recognition.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate project financial reporting and analysis.
Finance Process Streamlining and System Enhancement:
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and leverage technology to automate routine tasks and improve financial reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process and system changes effectively.
Financial Analytics and Data-driven Insights:
- Utilize financial analytics tools and techniques to derive actionable insights from financial data.
- Provide guidance on financial analytics and use data-driven insights to drive business performance.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within project based consulting business e.g. construction/ engineering/ architectural etc.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Extensive experience working in the HK, PRC, and SEA regions, including knowledge of regional financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems
