Assistant Manager (Tax) | Straight Big4/2nd Tier Welcome

Our client is a global industry leader in Business Consultancy. They are looking for an inhouse Assistant Manager to join their finance team.

Responsibilities

Income Tax Compliance:

• Oversee the income tax compliance process, ensuring timely filing of corporate income tax returns.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to prepare and review tax returns.
• Assist with tax audits and provide necessary documentation and responses.

Income Tax Provision:

• Prepare and/or review income tax provision calculations.
• Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate tax provision calculations using relevant software and processes.

Transfer Pricing:

• Support transfer pricing compliance requirements.
• Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation.
• Provide tax advice to the business and ensure proper documentation for related party transactions.
• Familiarity with cross-border transactions and regional tax considerations is advantageous.

Partnering with the Business:

• Provide tax advice on various cross-border business opportunities, including considerations for withholding tax, permanent establishment analysis, and indirect tax implications (preferred but not required).
• Advise on the allocation of income and costs for cross-border business transactions (preferred but not required).

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field.
• Relevant tax experience, preferably in a multinational company or public accounting firm.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing and regional tax is beneficial.
• Strong tax accounting knowledge and skills.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
