This role is a new headcount sitting within the newly established trading arm of a highly reputable mining business. They are presently seeking the services of an experienced finance professional to help set-up and grow their operations in the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the Group Financial Controller
• Responsible for full delivery of financial reporting pack including month-end closing, variance analysis, tax reporting, and business reporting
• Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets based on key business drivers by working with cross-functional counter-parts
• Set up the operational framework of the business by engaging in process improvement and work-flow re-engineering projects
• Be the primary contact point to statutory bodies, banking partners, tax authorities on all related matters
• Oversee day-to-day finance / accounting operations of the business

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
• Qualified Accountant
• A minimum of 10 years financial controllership experience gained from a sizeable business within the natural resources or related industry
• Prior hands-on experience in setting up operations
• Previously led ERP implementation projects
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
