A MNC, booming online retailer, is aiming to set up their brand new global headquarter in Hong Kong. They are locating a new finance leader as their new CFO in Hong Kong to undergo this process and to lead the team.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the client company is a key executive position responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the financial operations of the company. The CFO will work closely with the senior management team to develop and execute the company's financial strategy and ensure that financial goals are achieved. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as an integral part of the senior management team, the CFO will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Establish and maintain a sound financial infrastructure, implementing and maintaining appropriate financial systems and controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, providing senior management with regular financial updates and insights.
- Manage the treasury and cash management functions, including funding and liquidity management, cash forecasting, and foreign exchange management.
- Oversee financial risk management, including insurance programs and investment strategies.
- Ensure tax compliance and oversee tax planning strategies.
- Develop and implement effective financial planning and analysis processes to support business decision-making.
- Manage the accounting function, including financial reporting, accounting operations, and accounts payable and receivable.
- Coordinate and oversee external audits and regulatory filings.
- Evaluate potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships to ensure financial viability and alignment with the company's overall strategy.
- Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and auditors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, including experience as a CFO or in a senior finance role in a fast-paced, e-commerce environment.
- Solid understanding of financial systems, financial modelling, accounting practices, and financial analysis.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing financial policies and procedures that lead to successful business outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to a wide variety of audiences.
- Highly analytical with the ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
