A key regulatory enforcement agency in Hong Kong is currently seeking a Senior Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent, along with the Policy, China and Investment Products team will be responsible for:
• authorising product disclosure documents and marketing materials in respect of investment products offered to the Hong Kong public, including innovative or structured products, unit trust and mutual funds, insurance linked investment products, as well as alternative investments
• participate in managing policy projects and formulating policy initiatives for the enhancement of Hong Kong’s position as an international financial centre
• contribute as a senior member of the team to the analysis of product trends, regulatory challenges and emerging risks in product development both in Hong Kong and overseas markets
• articulate regulatory policy to market professionals at senior management level and maintain relationships with the industry and other regulatory (local and overseas) bodies

Requirements:

• a University graduate with professional qualifications in Finance/ Economics/ Law
• at least 10 years’ solid work experience in the financial services sector, preferably with strong background of product development, financial engineering or securities regulation
• prior experience in an overseas financial/ securities regulatory environment will also be considered
• excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills and solid working knowledge in the investment risks and structure of complex investment products
• prior experience in leading and coaching small teams is highly preferred
• excellent presentation skills including report writing and an excellent command of English and Chinese is a must
• proficiency in Mandarin and/or prior working experience in leading overseas financial markets will be an advantage
