In Asia, including Hong Kong is a diverse and complex financial services business reaching over 20 countries in the region and offering a significant range of financial products and services to a broad base of customers.
Responsibilities:
• participate in and manage the production of the monthly financial reports and HKMA returns, and ensure that reporting requirements and deadlines are met
• contribute to and participate in finance projects and initiatives
• address reporting issues or irregularities arising from banking systems with relevant business units, operational departments and IT teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
Requirements:
• MUST have Financial Institution experience
• qualified accountant with at least six to eight years' post qualification working experience at executive level, preferably with knowledge of bank accounting and financial reporting.
• good Excel spreadsheet skills
• experience in advising internal customers on accounting/reporting treatment
• able to work independently and as part of a team under pressure and against tight deadlines
• excellent written and oral English language skills
• strong analytical and problem solving skills
• solution-oriented mindset and proactive approach to driving change and innovation
• sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
• good interpersonal and communication skills
