A top tier investment bank is looking for an experienced Basel II Data Analyst to join their Global Finance Technology team which builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure, provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets.
The ideal candidate for this role will be the key functional point to support the Asia Regulary Program, perform detailed analyses of business processes, data sourcing/management & design, systems use cases/test case documentation. In addition responsibilities include system test execution, artifact documentation throughout all phases of PLC.
Requirements
two years experience as a Data/Systems Analyst in the banking industry in either the Finance or Investment Banking Technology functions.
possess experience on a Local Regulatory/BASEL reporting data warehouse project or production support environment.
experience in reporting process automation, data migration and reconciliation projects considered.
experience with a variety of Equity, Derivatives, FX and Deposit products is preferred.
experience with test case creation and test execution.
solid understanding of wholesale banking products
translate end-user data and report requirements to system requirements.
identify appropriate data sources and coordinate data feed from external sources
analyze and evaluate system data integrity
analytical skills to assist data analysis, design, unit testing and system integrated testing
strong skills in time management, problem solving, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member are critical to success.
expertise in ETL, data warehousing and business intelligence solutions; and good understanding of technology infrastructure
PL/SQL preferred but not mandatory
BI tool - eg. Business Objects/Crystal Reports, Oracle, Essbase preferred but not mandatory
