A major airline company is seeking a highly motivated and committed individual to join their IT team as a Infrastructure Development Lead.

Responsibilities:

• design the overall hardware and software infrastructure and environment needed to meet the application development and operational requirements of complex and cross-departmental / cross domains projects / programmes
• proactively draw out all types of requirements on the IT Infrastructure from stakeholders using a variety of elicitation techniques (e.g. interviewing, modelling, and surveying)
• critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details and distinguish users requests from the underlying business problems
• identify dependencies between cross-departments / cross-domains projects / programmes, optimise the design with the consideration of rationalising the requirements
• identify and document constraints, assumptions and risks associated with business requirements
• measure and report on requirements activity
• maintain timely communications with all stakeholders throughout the project life cycle to ensure common understanding of the requirements and the impact to the business area
• obtain requirements signoff from both business and Information Management (IM) Stakeholders
• communicate the proposed design solutions to the stakeholders and help to guide decisions regarding tradeoffs that impact the requirements
• determine how to leverage enabling technologies to implement infrastructure solutions to support the business requirements
• support the implementation of the infrastructure solution
• Work with and get inputs from Portfolio, Architecture, Delivery, Development and Support teams
• track the infrastructure requirements and manage their change throughout the project life cycle
• provide technical advice to IM colleagues on the use of the IT Infrastructure and integration of various business applications onto the infrastructure
• collaborate with other IM domains to drive business and technology innovation
• keep abreast of the latest trends in IT Infrastructure technologies
• keep abreast of the corporate strategy, business plan and latest industrial trends
• provide coaching / mentoring to infrastructure analysts and promote knowledge sharing of infrastructure design best practice

Requirements:

• degree holder with minimum of eight years of IT experience and at least six years on large scale IT Infrastructure
• ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally and in written formats to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver presentations
• ability to work well with others
• well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas
• focus on the end user's or customer's needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviour
• ability and willingness to proactively accept and drive change to accomplish positive outcomes
• ability to understand strategy and align tactical and strategic work in a well-balanced way
• good knowledge of IT Infrastructure technologies, including hardware, storage, operating software, network, middleware, systems management, email, DMS and collaboration tools
