Vice-President of International Sales
This company is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of lifestyle furniture products. Due to increasing demand for its expertise in Asia and other developing markets, it is seeking an experienced and proven Vice President of International Sales to be based in Bangkok (preferred), Hong Kong or Singapore to help drive global growth of the brand.
General Description
As the Vice President of International Sales (VP- IS) you will be responsible for the Client's international business outside of the USA and Canada. The role is designed to support and facilitate profitable business growth and sales through various international distribution and business models.
Responsibilities Include
The role of the VPIS is a multi-skilled member of the Client's management team. The VP- IS will develop, manage, and maximize business strategies to achieve profitable business relationships with international retail partners and licensees for the Client's brand portfolio. As well as managing the direct reports in the achievement of sales and profile budgets as well as expectations.

Retail Training Specialists
Develop sales plans/budgets and coordinate marketing strategies for individual international markets.
Develop the Clients overall international corporate plan for all brands and, where appropriate, recommend standards and set sales and profit targets.
Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with major accounts and licensees to promote brand awareness and profitable business relationships.
Maintain close contact with major accounts and licensees, highlighting planned strategies to develop profitable business and gathering information for future business plans and initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies for major accounts which are based on current and anticipated customer requirements.
Monitor and assist marketing activities for major accounts including product development, setting product mix, new marketing techniques, advertising campaigns, market analysis and research.
Lead and develop direct reports to enable the achievement of the strategic goals and sales targets, monitoring the performance of the international team and procedures.
Regularly review and report on sales performance, sales forecasts, market trends, etc. to the President of Sales (Worldwide).
May select and approve international employees of the parent company and its subsidiaries.
Assist in ensuring that the sales and marketing initiatives comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, and ethical standards.
Assist in the planning and managing of brand or product launches
Monitor expense budgets of the international team to set budgets
Participate in the Clients general meetings regarding accounting and legal issues
Skill Set
Excellent telephone manner and well spoken
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with effective outcomes
Ability to organize direct reports over multiple time zones via digital means
Ability to work through urgent situations
Over 5 years experience in managing sales teams
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office
Ability to travel 2-3 weeks per month
