This is a leading provider of forwarding and logistics services, specialising in intercontinental air and ocean freight associated with supply chain management solutions.
Reporting to the Head of Finance based in the UK, this role will be responsible for managing the full finance function, including management accounting, financial reporting, risk management strategies and support, treasury, and tax functions.
Responsibilities:
• provide sound financial information including reporting, planning and analysis for the Group’s logistics (Air & Ocean Freight Management) Unit
• deliver a robust financial and managerial accounting service to the Group logistics (Air & Ocean Freight Management) Unit
• engage with the Group functions on any tax, treasury, legal and audit issues
• responsible for ensuring effective risk management and internal controls measures
• review the effectiveness of the supply chain process
• identify and control the business unit’s information safety through the implementation of policies, strategies, and data management systems, etc.
• contribute to effective cost management
Requirements:
• a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or any related discipline
• a qualified Accountant
• a minimum of three to five years’ financial management experience preferably gained from the supply chain & logistics/air/or ocean freight management business
• sound knowledge International accounting legislation including US GAAP and IFRS accounting standard
• sound knowledge of international tax and treasury legislation
