As part of their expansion plans, this Global Investment Bank is looking for experienced developers for their front office fixed income exotics business in Asia which will be focused on complex products pricing tools and prime record trade capture applications.
Responsibilities:
deliver technology solutions by implementing projects at all stages of the project lifecycle - analysis, development and testing, including the migration of prime booking systems
build and maintain strong client relationships with users in order to establish new requirements and provide acute analysis and sound technical solutions
enhance applications in a controlled and speedy manner, and implement the localisation of global strategic applications when applicable
work closely and in partnership with the Asia Pacific and global support teams
participate in continuous improvement initiatives
provide support and oversight for the implementation of new applications and upgrades
Requirements:
a minimum one to two years' experience as a programmer is required for this position
strong technical skills in an Object Oriented Design programming language (C/C++, Java, Smalltalk) and experience working with RDBMS (Sybase, Oracle) is highly desirable
good knowledge of the credit and rates business, FX and interest rate products such as swaps, options, futures, securities will be highly regarded
a strong communicator across business levels and lines that has the adaptability and aptitude to work in a fast paced environment
display a desire for a long term career in the technology field and a clear passion for the discipline
