One of the world’s largest and most successful retail banks is looking to recruit a senior internal communications manager. This exciting opportunity requires a dynamic individual with previous experience in an internal communication role in the financial sector. The Group communications department plans and executes a wide range of internal and external programmes including news/PR events, corporate publications, sponsorship and internal communications that help earn acceptance and trust from the public, opinion leaders, customers and the employees.

Key Responsibilities

• responsible for developing, planning and implementing internal communications (IC) messages to the highest industry standards to help deliver the group’s business and strategic objectives
• plan and execute IC that support corporate and business initiatives
• develop and manage IC channels such as intranet and video
• foster a strong relationship with internal business partners and help to share best practises
• use audience research and measurement techniques with judgment to guide and prioritise communications decisions
• provide IC consultancy services and advice on IC guidelines to internal departments in Hong Kong
• lead and manage team members and guide other IC practitioners in the Bank to ensure alignment to regional and global objectives

Requirements

• university degree holder with at least ten years’ combined working experience in public relations, journalism or internal/employee communications
• experience of audience research techniques, strategic IC and outstanding article/scriptwriting skills would be ideal
• excellent written and spoken English language skills, with Cantonese proficiency ideal but not essential
• mature and confident decision maker
• resourceful, independent and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
• prepared to work irregular hours and during weekends if required
