This well recognised and established banking institution has an excellent reputation amongst its competitors and is a true market leader in the Asia Pacific Region. An opportunity currently arises for an experienced product controller to join the bank's finance team.
Responsibilities:
- review daily p&l production (validation, analysis and explanation) and market data (price testing and fair value adjustment) with a focus on equities including exotics
- support and analyse requests from front office and other control functions
- participate in new product due diligence for new or highly structured transactions
- close liaison with IT, operations & accounting to resolve on any system constraints
- conduct user acceptance test (UAT) for new systems and implementation testing for new models
- ensuring a strong control environment is implemented, including process and control improvements
- manage a team of junior controllers
Requirements:
- minimum five years’ experience in a product control environment with an in-depth understanding of equity derivatives
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- flexible, strong team player who is able to work to tight deadlines
- strong IAS knowledge is an advantage
- prior managerial experience is essential
