This organisation is the world's leading provider of fast, cost-effective communications services for financial services applications. They service major institutional financial companies supporting connectivity on their global private IP Extranet for trading data, market data, voice/VoIP and client connectivity. The organisation is seeking a Sales & Support Engineer for the Financial Services Division.
Key Responsibilities:
technical sales and support to customers and prospects in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Singapore
work closely with a small experienced team of sales managers providing network serviced-related advice to top-tier financial clients, and market data vendors
act as a technical liaison between customers and Engineering, Operations and Sales Support divisions
provide detailed technical schematics to FSD Engineering and Operations teams to assist in customer network implementations
gain a good understanding of clients connectivity requirements and uses (i.e. Trading platforms, Vendor connections)
pre and post sale customer and internal technical documentation and RFP / RFI response
Key Requirements:
bachelors degree or technical certificate equivalent and experience in supporting customer networks
in-depth knowledge of IP, wide-area and local-area networking topologies, VPN, and related communication protocols/systems integration
strong skills in network design software, specifically Visio and Cisco routing products
knowledge of voice / VoIP and SQL Remedy database is helpful
English verbal and written proficiency; command of at least Mandarin and preferably Cantonese, both verbal and written proficiency
willingness to undertake semi-frequent International travel
