One of the largest banks in the world is looking for a senior C&B professional to join its Human Resources team as the Head of Compensation, Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:• plan, direct and manage the annual market pay review exercise where a total reward management approach is adopted, and to customise the process and policies to cater for the diversified needs of different businesses
• oversee the market survey processes, ensure accurate and equitable benchmarking of the Bank’s jobs against the market, and ensure that the market pay ranges are determined following thorough analysis of robust market data and reflect the value of the jobs in the market
• review and propose changes to variable incentive, share and one-off cash award schemes to support the Bank’s/ Group’s strategic direction, and changing business needs and market environment; and manage implementation and communication of the changes to the schemes
• prepare proposals on market pay review and other reward programs for management approval
• educate and provide advice to line managers, HR managers, employees and Group subsidiaries on the concepts and implementation of the market based pay and total reward management through briefing sessions, written employee communication, on-line training module, guidelines
• provide guidance and consultancy service on all reward management and HR policies related matters to line managers and HR managers in Hong Kong
Requirements:• degree holder or equivalent standard of education (analytical reasoning, numeracy and communication skills), obtained through a recognised university
• at least 10 years’ HR management experience, to include at least five years’ of reward management, and experience of a consultancy/ business partner environment
• at least five years’ experience of managing HR projects
• strong interpersonal skills are essential
• membership of the American Compensation Association or membership of the Institute of Personnel and Development would be preferable
