This leading IT networking firm is looking for a Pre-sales Systems Engineer for the Hong Kong office. This person will work with the other Asia Pacific offices to engage clients and support the pre-sales process.
As the Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, the Pre-sales Systems Engineer will work with the Account Manager and Regional Channel Manager to promote solutions to potential customers and resellers. The goal is to influence the sales cycle through the technical buyer, and to achieve client satisfaction with company products.
Responsibilities:
• be a trusted advisor to key customers to define IT & business technology direction, adaptation of emerging technologies; perform effective technical opportunity analysis of accounts to know who the key solution decision makers are and maintain effective relationships with those key individuals
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the region and perform presentations to technical buyers and executives
• work closely with Account Managers to understand client requirements, develop designs and solutions which are aligned to the customer's business goals
• customise company products for product evaluation and POC (proof of concepts), respond to RFP/RFI requests and leading the customer POC demonstration
• assist Channel Partners with technical training
• enhance company branding, product and industry knowledge thru educational opportunities; confident, energetic, decisive and customer-service oriented
Requirements:
• five to nine years' experience in developing and designing large IP-based networks for global Fortune 500 clients
• a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent
• CISSP is desirable; CCNP, CCIE or JNCIE Certification is preferred
• strong in TCP/IP data protocols, IP routing and switching technologies
• experience with network security products is strongly desired; pre-sales experience is required
• experience in network security products, such as Check Point Firewall or similar products
